the Wine Pinnacle Awards has only one edition in existence, but is already bringing together this year, for the second edition, the cream of the wine industry in a sumptuous setting, in Singapore. The purpose of this event is to celebrate diversity, excellence and innovation in the world of wine, by rewarding wineries that perform in 18 categories. Meticulously defined to showcase the best wines without the conventional restrictions, the 18 award categories include ‘Mature Wines’, ‘Best Recent Releases’, ‘Best Friend of the Earth’, as well as new ‘Comfort Wines’ categories. and “Pandemic Hero”.

As the premier global wine award based solely on nominations, this event will recognize the most outstanding wines and wine professionals, representing the opinions of 61 jury members from around the world – including Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers , wine professionals, wine luminaries and the illustrious five-member technical committee headed by Ms. Jeannie Cho Lee, the first Asian Master of Wine.

The technical committee made up of five internationally renowned wine expertsnamely the chair of the committee, Jeannie Cho Lee from Hong Kong, Andreas Larsson from Sweden, Doug Frost of the United States of America, Kenichi Ohashi from Japan and oz clarke of the United Kingdom is responsible for establishing the award categories, assembling a credible panel of jury members and overseeing the nomination process to ensure that the focus is on diversity, quality and merit .

“We have broadened the scope this year and are on the lookout for wines at a low price, while rewarding the wineries that put the most effort into sustainability. We have also highlighted people who , in our view, have made a special effort to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mr. Oz Clarke, Wine Pinnacle Awards Technical Committee member and wine expert.

The Wine Pinnacle Awards are innovative awards that take into account wines from all regions, with no restrictions on origin and no entry fees.

Diversity, excellence and innovation in the spotlight

The 2022 Wine Pinnacle Awards program is entirely new and has been meticulously curated to distinguish the awards as the largest and most unique wine festival for oenophiles in Southeast Asia. It will be held from October 28 to November 1, 2022, at Singapore’s first integrated resort.
