With the approach of the Game Awards this Thursday, December 08, another ceremony indirectly linked to video games took place this weekend: it is the Streamys Awards, an appointment where we reward the creators of the most talented web of the year.

Who is the streamer of the year?
Yesterday took place the Streamy’s Awards, a ceremony organized by the International Academy of Web Television. Many personalities were therefore present yesterday, including the nominees, in Los Angeles, California. Like the Game Awards, the “Web Oscars” (name by Vanity Fair) reward various content creators through several categories: best breakthrough for a creator, Lifestyle, Fashion… There are 49 categories in total, including several queen categories. Creator of the year and that of Streamer of the Year. For this twelfth edition, HasanAbi, IShowSpeed, Kai Cenat, Kyedae, Ludwig, Pokimane, Quackity, tarik, Valkyrae and xQc competed for the trophy for best streamer. Here is the result :

Young streamer (21 years old on December 16), Kaï Cenat shook the planet Twitch this year by becoming the personality with the more subscribers on Amazon’s live streaming platform. He built his notoriety on Youtube in particular with many videos based on the prankspranks performed on people.

In addition to this queen category, several popular personalities in France have also been nominated. Unfortunately, these are not French and the Streamys Awards still seem American-American, as evidenced by the list of nominees.
