The 74th BAFTA Awards the days will come April 10 and 11 in the Royal Albert Hall in London. There will continue the so-called awards season, during which the Golden globes and the SAG Prize, which took place last weekend. On March 9, all the nominees for the 24 categories were announced and here we tell you who they are. Don’t miss it!

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts was founded in 1947 in the name of the British Academy of Cinematography. After joining the Union of producers and directors it was called Society of Cinematography and Television, so that in 1976 he finally became the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Since 2001 they have been held in February to precede the Oscars, but this year their date had to be changed due to the pandemic of Coronavirus, just like other rewards. In 2020 they came under heavy criticism for the lack of diversity in their nominees and in 2021 there was a noticeable change, due to the new voting system.

Four of the six nominees in each of the acting categories are from ethnic minorities and four of the nominees for Best Director are women, while three titles that will go in search of the best film are not in English. Nomadland and Rocks are the productions with the most nominations, with seven each. Check out the full list of BAFTA 2021 protagonists!
