The British Academy of Film and Television Arts celebrates this Sunday the 75th edition of the Bafta Award, in what will be part of the home stretch of awards season that concludes with the Oscars on March 27. Some feel that the results we see next will predict what happens to the Hollywood Academy, so this is a ceremony to pay attention to as it assumes the paths of all the nominees. The awards ceremony will be completely different from last year, as a virtual event took place due to the coronavirus pandemic and now the glamor has reached London’s Royal Albert Hall, where most contestants will say present. . In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of James Bond, a characteristic song was sung which gave way to the presenters of each category: Lady Gaga, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Millie Bobby Brown, Rege Jean-Page, Sophie Turner, Barbara Broccoli, Aaron Sorkin and Jessie Buckleyamong others.
The film that came out on top of the nominations was dunes by Denis Villeneuve, since he totals 11 nominations and seeks to hit the science fiction genre. On the other hand, Jane Champion and The power of the dog add up to eight triplets, followed by the six of Belfast by Kenneth Branagh. Then, all the nominations as well as the winners which are announced during the ceremony. Look who wins a BAFTA!
