On Sunday May 8, the 2022 edition of the British Academy Television Awards. The award ceremony took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London. During the evening, moderated by Richard Ayoade, Prince William made an appearance, not on stage, but via video pre-recorded. Facing the camera, husband of Kate Middleton recalled the importance of taking care of our planet. In effect, very committed to the environmentthe Duke of Cambridge had the privilege of seeing the Earthshot 2021 prize awarded, as being the best live event.
This price is awarded by the Royal Foundation, represented by Prince William and his wife. It aims to highlight personalities who are fighting for protection of the earth. In his message to the camera, George’s fatherCharlotte and Louis expressed their hope that the creators of shows and other programs do “environmental issues a priority”. “Now more than ever, they have a unique opportunity to ensure that climate change and sustainable development remain at the forefront of our collective consciousness”he said, continuing enthusiastically: “By creating innovative, educational and emotional content for television, authors and producers play a unique role in ensuring that the future of our planet is something we all want to talk about.”

Prince William also launched, with hindsight: “Over the past year, we’ve seen fantastic examples of this across a wide variety of programs and genres.
