Devraj Niwas, the greenest

Halfway between the bus and train stations, Devraj Niwas is a haven of peace in the hotel jungle of this district of Jaipur. The rooms occupy single-storey bungalows scattered in a vast green garden. The 11 suites of character, all different, restore the art of living of the princes of Rajasthan. An authentic little palace, this residence was built in the 19th century to house the Maharaja of Samode, then Prime Minister of Jaipur. Part of this historic residence has been converted into a luxury hotel, with marble floors and bathtubs, lotus flower arches, openwork stucco screens and sumptuous wall or ceiling frescoes. Lounges and dining room can be visited like in a museum. In addition, a beautiful swimming pool hidden in a discreet garden allows you to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
