Utah ended the NBA preseason on a high note, with a home victory over champion Milwaukee. Dallas and Frank Ntilikina humiliated Charlotte in North Carolina. Health walk also for Phoenix against Portland for the big comeback of an already huge Devin Booker.
A success, certainly narrow (124-120), against the outgoing champions. Utah could hardly have a better finish on their preseason schedule this Wednesday night. On his floor, the Jazz demonstrated that he was ready to attack the season by taking the upper hand over Giannis Antetokounmpo (21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) and the Bucks, with the best scorer of the evening on the side of the men of the Wisconsin other team leader Khris Middleton (25 points). In the opposite camp, rookie Jared Butler confirmed his performances from previous matches (19 points average) by making a very good copy again (16 assists, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) and thus contributing to this stunning victory for Rudy Gobert and his teammates. Still in break-in, the French pivot had to be content with 7 points and 5 rebounds in 16 minutes of play. His counter on Antetokounmpo did not go unnoticed, however. While Utah is operational, Charlotte is not yet.
Dallas and Phoenix have fun
In front of their audience, the Hornets received one of the most violent slaps in their history (127-59) against Dallas and a great night Tim Hardaway (20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists). Frank Ntilikina also left his mark on this slap, with 7 points scored in 8 minutes off the bench. The former Strasbourg was particularly illustrated behind the line (1 out of 2). Perhaps inspired by the Texans’ health walk, Phoenix didn’t go by half, either, at home against Portland. For the return of Devin Booker on the floors, the Suns have also atomized (119-74) their evening opponent. The big absentee from the first preseason games compiled 17 points in 18 minutes (3 of 6 with three points) as well as three rebounds and an assist for his comeback. Great news for the Suns.
