Thailand Pass: how to book a “SHA Extra Plus” hotel with quarantine formula? – Thailand Info

In its latest update concerning the conditions for obtaining the Thailand Pass, mandatory to enter Thailand since November 1, the TAT specifies that it is now mandatory to book a hotel. SHA Extra Plus (and not SHA +) to perform the 24 hours of quarantine required to await the result of the PCR test.

Thailand has reopened its borders to nationals of 63 countries since November 1 and the French are there. After two weeks of opening and the somewhat chaotic start of the Thailand Pass, 1,953 French people have already reached Thailand, ie the 6th source country just ahead of Russia (1,875) and after Japan (2,530).

What is the difference between a SHA + hotel and a SHA Extra Plus hotel?

SHA Extra Plus hotels are those that meet the Amazing Thailand SHA Plus standard AND offer a hosting service in partnership with hospitals certified for the RT-PCR test. (source: TAT)

This means that you must now go through the hotel’s partner hospital to perform your PCR test: you cannot book a SHA + hotel and do your PCR test yourself.
