The “White Lotus” phenomenon in good shape

In terms of nominations, the sitcom “Abbott Elementary” is the favorite with 5 nominations including “Best comedy series” and “Best actress” for Quinta Brunson. Just behind, the phenomenon “The White Lotus” settles in four categories including those of “Best mini-series” and “Best actress” for Jennifer Coolidge. Among the outsiders, “Dahmer”, “The Crown”, “Pam & Tommy” and “Only Murders in the Building” could create a surprise by collecting four nominations each.

On the cinema side, it is the film “The Banshees of Inisherin” which has won the most nominations. This Irish comedy directed by Martin McDonagh and carried by Colin Farrell is in 8 categories including those of “Best film”. The films “Everything Everywhere All At Once” (6 nominations), “Babylon” (5 nominations) and “The Fabelmans” (5 nominations) follow. Note that in the category “best original song”, Lady Gaga and Rihanna will compete for their musical creation for the films “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Black Panther 2”.
