However, in a recent conversation with Inverse, Morrison revealed Lucasfilm had clarified his character's status, saying 'we might open up the jar later' but boba fett is not currently in the works.

Morrison originally played Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, before later portraying Jango's son and clone Boba Fett. The last time he appeared as the 65-year-old character was at the end of The Book of Boba Fett in February 2022.

The Disney+ spin-off series received a mixed response, with some fans feeling it softened Boba Fett's villainous persona. Morrison had hoped for multiple seasons of the show, but ultimately expressed gratitude for being brought back to the role.

With no confirmation on a Boba Fett return in The Mandalorian or future Star Wars projects, fans may have to wait and see if Lucasfilm reconsiders the character's fate.
