Capcom celebrates resident evil requiem's 7 million sales with giant cakes
Capcom is rejoicing after Resident Evil Requiem sold an astonishing 7 million copies worldwide since its launch last month, marking another milestone in the franchise's impressive sales record.

Requiem's success continues to grow
The game has been breaking sales records since its release, shifting a staggering 5 million copies in just five days - the fastest-selling Resident Evil game ever. Director Koshi Nakanishi celebrated this achievement with a party and two massive Resident Evil Requiem-themed cakes, one featuring protagonist Leon and the other his co-star Grace.
These cakes are a fitting tribute to the game's success, with Leon's cake topped with a biscuit figure wielding a pistol and a hand reaching out from the second tier, while Grace's cake boasts eerie white frosting and a zombie's grasping hand.
Requiem's fans still have plenty more to look forward to, including a mysterious content update next month that will likely add a new version of the game's intense Mercenaries mode, following a data leak revealing tense new music. Further down the line, a full story DLC is also in the works.
Capcom's success with Requiem is well-deserved; critics have praised it as a fantastic game that
