Game Freak Announces Quick Fixes for Disappointing 'Beast of Reincarnation'
Game Freak, the creators of Pokémon, are responding to a lukewarm reception of their new action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, with a series of planned updates expected within the next seven days.
Initial Reviews Criticize Execution
Despite flashy trailers and a charming canine companion, the game launched yesterday on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S to mixed reviews. Steam currently reflects a ‘Mixed’ user rating based on over 1,600 reviews, with IGN awarding it a 6/10 score. Critics noted that the game’s execution failed to live up to its ambitious ideas, citing a bland story, repetitive combat, and disappointing boss fights.

Planned Updates to Address Player Concerns
Game Freak acknowledged player feedback and announced a series of updates including camera adjustments (moving the view further back from the main character, Emma), increased text size, improvements to story pacing, bug fixes, and a shift in priority from the ‘Cinematic’ visual setting to the ‘Performance’ setting. Camera adjustments have already prompted a PC mod allowing players to manually adjust the game’s field of view.
