Chinese electronics giant Hisense has just announced a new budget-friendly Mini LED TV line called Vidda S, with screen sizes ranging from 55 to 75 inches.

Available starting April 17, the range kicks off at a wallet-friendly 2,552 yuan (~ $320) for the base 55-inch model, scaling up to 4,434 yuan (~ $554) for the top-of-the-line 75-inch version.
While not a premium offering, the Vidda S Mini TV aims to deliver strong value for money, boasting a feature set that belies its affordable price point.
Highlights include Mini LED backlighting with up to 180 zones of local dimming, a 10-bit panel that can display 1.07 billion colors, and 96% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage – all quite respectable specs for the segment.
Other notable features include a peak brightness of 600 nits, anti-reflective coating, low-reflection layer, and an RGB intelligent light sensor that adjusts brightness and color temperature based on ambient light conditions.
The TV also includes eye care features like PWM at 20,000 Hz, blue light filter, and flicker-free technology – thoughtful additions for everyday use, especially for extended viewing sessions.
Gaming and connectivity get a boost
Where the Vidda S Mini TV really shines is in its gaming and connectivity capabilities.
With a 180Hz refresh rate, VRR, ALLM, MEMC, and two HDMI 2.1 ports, it's well-equipped to handle fast-paced content from consoles and sports, as well as demanding PC gaming.
Additional connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, and an AV input, making it a solid choice for those who want a flexible and feature-rich viewing experience.

Sound-wise, the Vidda S Mini TV is no slouch, boasting a 2.1-channel speaker system with a dedicated 1.2L subwoofer and 120W total power output – a significant step up from the average budget TV's audio.
Smart TV capabilities are also on board, with Hisense's Xinghai and DeepSeek AI technologies promising more comprehensive voice control, the ability to understand multiple commands in sequence, and seamless content streaming from Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS devices.
