Marvel rivals confirmed for nintendo switch 2

Marvel Games has officially confirmed that Marvel Rivals is in development for the Nintendo Switch 2. In an interview at the Game Developers Conference, executive producer Danny Koo told IGN that the game is already underway, with no specific release date announced yet.

Switch 2 version was a long time coming

Koo's confirmation comes after a year and a half of anticipation. Last year, producer Weicong Wu and game director Guangyun Chen both hinted at a potential Switch version, but noted the team was still working on development kits at the time.

It seems that issue has finally been resolved, according to Koo's comments. Unfortunately, it appears a mobile version of Marvel Rivals is off the table for now. When asked about the possibility of a mobile release, Koo stated that any mobile version would be a completely different game due to touch controls being fundamentally different from what works well on consoles.
