Owlcat Games, the studio behind the successful Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader RPG, has made a significant splash in the gaming world with the debut of their upcoming sci-fi action title, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.

As revealed at the Xbox Partner Preview event, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is a story-driven action RPG that delves deep into the universe of the beloved novels and TV series. Fans of Mass Effect will recognize the strong third-person sci-fi action vibes in the game's first gameplay trailer.

Microsoft has also confirmed that The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will be a day-one launch title for Game Pass, offering gamers an immersive experience from the get-go. The game's closed beta is set to begin on April 22, giving players a sneak peek at the combat, zero-gravity movement, and life on a remote space station.

According to Owlcat Games, the beta will be available on Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5 for those who purchase the Collector's Edition or Miller's Pack. The beta period will run until the game's spring 2027 launch, allowing developers to incorporate valuable player feedback into the final product.
