Netflix has unveiled a first look at two sequel series to the hit drama Peaky Blinders, with Fantastic Four's Jamie Bell starring as Duke Shelby, son of Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby. The new series are set in post-war Birmingham in the 1950s, a decade after the events of the recent film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. In this new era, the race to rebuild the city becomes a brutal contest with mythical dimensions.

Creator and writer Steven Knight said he's thrilled to announce a new era of Peaky Blinders, moving the story to early 1950s Birmingham. Knight praised the cast, including Bell and Charlie Heaton, and hinted at more exciting announcements to come. Filming is currently underway in Birmingham, England.

According to the official plot synopsis, this new Birmingham is a city of unprecedented opportunity and jeopardy. At its blood-soaked heart is Duke Shelby, older, wiser, more ambitious, and undoubtedly more dangerous than before.
