A zombie apocalypse reboot & cooperative oddities
The headline attraction is undoubtedly Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition, a post-apocalyptic survival sequel boasting impressive parkour mechanics and a sprawling open world. While IGN’s review acknowledged the frustratingly forgettable main plot and protagonist identification challenges – a persistent issue despite 80 hours of gameplay – the game’s streets undeniably offer a captivating narrative experience, earning a respectable 7/10. Co-op, capped at four players, provides a welcome distraction from the procedural woes.
Next up, prepare for a decidedly different experience with Big Walk, the debut title from the team behind the brilliantly quirky Untitled Goose Game. This cooperative multiplayer adventure emphasizes teamwork and, surprisingly, a lot of talking. Players will navigate a picturesque world, tackling puzzles and uncovering secrets – a refreshing departure from the increasingly complex, solo-focused landscape of modern gaming.
Rounding out the selection is Signalis, a throwback to the golden age of psychological survival horror. This game plunges players into a dark, melancholic mystery, demanding meticulous investigation, strategic puzzle-solving, and a healthy dose of courage to confront nightmarish creatures lurking within dystopian, retrotech realms. The atmosphere is thick with intrigue, a deliberate and effective strategy.
