Spider-noir premieres early on mgm+, but there's a catch for prime video subscribers

Spider-Man fans, take note: Prime Video's highly anticipated noir series Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage, is dropping two days earlier than initially planned. But the early release comes with a twist. The eight-episode series will make its domestic debut exclusively on MGM+'s linear broadcast channel on May 25, giving viewers a two-day head start to binge-watch the show via the cable network. However, the full series will not be available on MGM+ streaming, with Prime Video remaining the sole streaming platform.

The series will debut domestically on MGM+ on May 25, followed by a global release on Prime Video two days later on May 27. This marks a change from the original release date of May 27, which will now see the show premiere solely on Prime Video. All eight episodes will be available for binge-watching from the start.

Spider-Noir follows Nicolas Cage as retired gumshoe Ben Reilly, who returns to his detective work in 1930s New York City to take on baddies. The show's noir aesthetic will be fully immersive, offering viewers the option to watch in black and white or color. This presents a unique viewing experience, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the gritty, hard-boiled world of classic film noir.
