Suspected white house shooter linked to indie video game

A 31-year-old man identified as Cole Tomas Allen has been arrested for attempting to storm the White House Correspondents' Dinner, with authorities stating President Donald Trump and his officials were likely targets.

Allen, an alleged indie game developer, had previously registered a trademark for a video game called bohrdom and released it on steam in 2018.

Bohrdom, described as an 'atomic fighting game', had a tiny player base until the shooting incident, prompting a surge in concurrent players and a wave of negative reviews.

Allen's LinkedIn profile lists him as a self-employed indie game developer, and he had also mentioned working on a second game called 'First Law', although it hasn't been released.

He is now facing charges of using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon, with a formal charging expected in federal court on Monday.
