Teufel drops the motiv go 2: portable sound gets a serious upgrade
Teufel’s cranking up the volume – and the style – with the new MOTIV GO 2, a Bluetooth speaker that’s trading in bulk for a seriously sleek design and a surprising punch of audio.
Packing a punch without the bulk
The German audio specialist isn’t messing around. This isn’t your average portable speaker; it’s engineered with dual high-precision full-range drivers and passive radiators to deliver a genuinely dynamic, stereo soundscape. They’re aiming for nuanced detail, and frankly, it shows. But the real trick here is Teufel’s Dynamore technology – a clever virtual soundstage expansion that effectively widens the perceived stereo image, a feat for a speaker of this size.
Let’s be clear: this thing sounds good. Really good. It's built for those spontaneous summer moments, effortlessly transitioning from the kitchen counter to a patio gathering.
Built to weather the storm
Forget fragile. The MOTIV GO 2 features an aluminum frame, a durable textile coating, and, crucially, an IPX5 water resistance rating. That means splashes, spills, and even a quick dunk are no match for this speaker. It’s ideal for outdoor use – near the pool, on the beach, or simply enjoying music while cooking.
Bluetooth 5.3 with AAC codec ensures a stable connection and high-quality audio streaming from your favorite services like Spotify and Tidal. But don’t expect Hi-Res support here; it’s sticking with AAC.
Beyond the core features, you’ve got USB-C fast charging, integrated buttons for control, and seamless integration with the Teufel Go app. And with a 15-hour battery life in Eco mode, you're looking at a long day of listening.
The bottom line
At €229.99, the MOTIV GO 2 represents a compelling option for those prioritizing both portability and premium sound. It’s a refined piece of kit – a testament to Teufel's commitment to delivering impactful audio, regardless of size. A solid choice for anyone seeking a stylish, durable, and genuinely impressive portable speaker.
