Latin Grammy 2022: Guatemalan Aroddy competes for a gramophone in the Best Christian Album category

The Latin Recording Academy announced this Tuesday, September 20, the nominees for these awards given by professionals in the music industry.

Through a special broadcast broadcast on its website and on its social networks, the applicants for a gramophone in the different categories were revealed.

The 2022 edition of the Latin Grammys will be held on November 17 in Las Vegas, USA.

Among the categories is Best Christian Album, in which again Guatemalan Aroddy opts for a Latin Grammy with the production Spring is here.

The Guatemalan artist competes with Athenas (Alpha and Omega), Gilberto Daza (Who said fear? Live), Jesus Adrian Romero (As you see me?), and Marcos Witt (I will live).

“We are in Houston. We have been on trips for four months and this Tuesday, September 20, we enjoy the broadcast on this long-awaited day while having breakfast,” said Aroddy.

“We see our name for the second year. This year is significant and repeating it again is important”, added the artist from Chiquimulteco Aroddy, who in 2021 won the gramophone in the category of Best Christian Album, for his album I already saw myself.

“This year I am sharing with Marcos Witt and Jesús Adrián Romero, they both have record labels and in the past I sent my demos and albums and the opportunity did not arise, that was about 10 or 15 years ago and now this is persistence, now we are in the same category”, added the Guatemalan artist.

According to Aroddy, the album spring is here It was released on May 25 and includes songs that were also born during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The winter of the pandemic is over and now we are here at the forefront. It’s a new opportunity, it’s like an emotional spring,” said Aroddy.

The Guatemalan artist revealed that he has participated in different events in churches in the United States, something he has done for 30 years and is willing to continue on that path.

“Now I have been on this trip outside the country for four months. I want to settle in Houston. As a result of the Latin Grammy of 2021, a permanent stay arose. In addition, it is strategic for traveling to the US and the rest of Latin America. Our music has been supported,” added Aroddy.

After learning of a new nomination, the artist sent greetings to the Guatemalans, to whom he has dedicated each triumph obtained.
