LATIN GRAMMY® CULTURAL FOUNDATION BEGINS RECEIVING APPLICATIONS FOR 2023 RESEARCH AND PRESERVATION GRANT PROGRAM

MIAMI, September 28, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation® announced that it has officially started receiving applications for its Latin Music Preservation and Research Grants program of 2023. The program annually awards four grants to musical institutions, musicologists, researchers, nonprofit entities and individuals around the world who enhance and preserve the heritage of Latin music.

The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation offers grants under two categories:

  • Two (2) Research Grants for a maximum of $5,000 dollars eachwhich finance projects focused on historical research, folklore, and the anthropology of Latin music genres.

  • Two (2) Preservation Grants for a maximum of $5,000 eachwhich support projects to archive and preserve the heritage of Latin music.

A committee of experts from Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula and the United States will review applications from eligible candidates. Four applicants will receive a maximum grant of $5,000.

Since its inception in 2015, the program has awarded grants worth more than $155,000 to support 32 projects around the world.
