Warner bros. unveils dark dcu movie 'clayface' trailer

In a dramatic shift, Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for James Watkins' upcoming DCU film, 'Clayface'.

Body horror takes center stage in this gritty gotham city tale.

Starring Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, an actor whose career is brutally cut short when a mobster scars his face, 'Clayface' follows Hagen's transformation into a monstrous creature after undergoing Dr. Caitlyn Corr's (Naomi Ackie) experimental procedure.

As Hagen seeks vengeance against those who wronged him, the film draws inspiration from Batman: The Animated Series and classic Batman comics.

Alongside Harries and Ackie, the cast includes Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, and David Dencik.

'Clayface' hits theaters on October 23, 2026, sparking questions about whether it can succeed in a Gotham City without Batman.
