The popular K-pop band blackpink act this monday at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelonain the only Spanish stop on the world tour to present “Born Pink”, his second studio album.
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa are the members of the South Korean quartet that arrives in Barcelona today, after two concerts at the O2 Arena in London and a stadium concert in Los Angeles at the Banc of California Stadium.
The tour, which started in the capital of South Korea on October 15 and arrived in the United States on the 25th of the same month, it plans to finish its European leg on December 22 in Amsterdamafter passing through Germany, France and Denmark.
Blackpink burst into the world of music in 2016 and since then have achieved several milestonessuch as holding the artist channel with highest number of subscribers on YouTubehave the album of female band that has reached the best positions on the bestseller charts in a decade and become the first female K-pop group to perform at the North American festival from Coachella.
The four vocalists and dancers began their rise with the song “Square One” in 2016, which was followed by the “Square up” EP in 2019.
After signing with Interscope Records through an alliance with YG Entertainment, the group released a first LP entitled “The Album” in 2020, which reached number 2 on Billboard 200 and placed three singles on the Billboard Hot 100 list: “How You Like That”, “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez and “Lovesick Girls”, a song that has made Blackpink the first female K-pop band to sell more of a million copies.
During these years, Blackpink has won several awards, as three E! People’s Choice Awards and Best Metaverse Performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
