FIL Lima 2022: schedule, activities and guests of the Lima Book Fair for this year

This Friday, July 22, starts the International Book Fair – FIL Lima 2022the most important cultural event of the Peru, which is expected by many and brings together various writers, booksellers, publishers and, of course, book lovers. With an important national and international literary offer, in addition to Portugal as guest of honor, this is all you need to know if you want to participate in this event.

Let us remember that the COVID-19 pandemic did not allow FIL 2020 to take place. However, the FIL 2019 edition “received more than half a million visitors and generated an economic movement of more than S/ 20 million in book sales”, commented the president of the Peruvian Book Chamber, Willy del Pozo. “The goal of IDF 2022 it is to reach, at least, 80% of the influx and economic movement of what was generated two years ago,” he added.

Tickets can be purchased the same day you attend the fair or in advance through the Atrápalo web platform. Now, there are promotions for minors between 5 and 17 years old or if you are a university or institute student (presenting original card). Primary and secondary school teachers also have access to this special rate by presenting one of their latest payment slips. On the other hand, in the case of mChildren under 5 years of age, over 65 and disabled people who have the CONADIS card, will be able to enter for free every day of the fair.

– Monday to Thursday general: 5 soles

– Friday to Sunday general: 7 soles

– Monday to Sunday for minors between 5 and 17 years old: 3 soles

– Monday to Sunday for students: 3 soles

– Primary and secondary school teachers from Monday to Sunday: 3 soles.

The FIL Lima 2022 offers the promotion FAN FIL, a special ticket to enter as many times as you want during the 17 days of the fair. This one costs 60 soles and includes an event kit, as well as the opportunity to participate in exclusive raffles. It can be obtained in person at the event or through the Atrápalo web platform.

The FIL LIMA 2022 Professional Sessions will return and will take place from August 1 to 5. This is a space within the fair that seeks to boost the Peruvian publishing industry, aimed at book professionals (publishers, distributors, booksellers, illustrators, etc.). Some of its benefits are unlimited access to FIL 2022, participation in multiple conferences and seminars, as well as a certificate of participation. The entrance is obtained from the Atrápalo website from S / 60 for members of the Peruvian Chamber of Books of Lima and S / 80 for non-members.
