1 euro regional aid in cinema and audiovisual generates 16 euros in economic benefits for Ile-de-France.

The Region supports every kind :

  • Fiction,
  • Documentary,
  • Animation.

More concretely :

Please note: production aid is reimbursable once the supported work has made a profit.

First local authority to support cinema and audiovisual in France, the Region devotes more and more money to it. From 22 million euros in 2020, the dedicated budget has increased to 25 million euros in 2021.

The Region thus contributes to:

This massive investment has earned the Region a presence at Cannes every year through the films it has supported.

For the 75th edition of the largest film festival in the world, from May 17 to 28, 2022, it is associated with:

Nearly 200 cine-TV works supported per year

By devoting 25 million euros to cinema-audiovisual in 2021, the Region has supported nearly 200 productions:

  • 56 cinema films and 47 creations for television (series, single TV films, documentaries, animation) were supported at the production stage (17.5 million euros),
  • 39 short and feature films were helped in the finalization/post-production stage (1 million euros),
  • 39 screenwriters were helped in their writing project (for a total of 500,000 euros),

In addition :

  • 50 events and film networks in the Ile-de-France region were accompanied,
  • 50,000 high school students and apprentices in the Ile-de-France have followed image education (to see For Paris and for the rest of Île-de-France).

It should be noted that regional production aid (Cinema, International Cinema and Audiovisual Support Fund) is refundable as soon as the beneficiary work is profitable.
