HARRY’S BAR CANNES, A REAL COCKTAIL BAR

The concept of Harry’s Bar, created and still managed by the MacElhone family since 1911, continues the adventure in Cannes to offer Cuban cocktails. Press picture

The new address of the legendary Harry’s Bar – the oldest cocktail bar in Europe (1911) – has just opened its doors on Port Canto. A true ode to the art of the sunny Cuban cocktail, the place offers a sharp selection of cocktails, spirits and cigars to be enjoyed on a 150m2 terrace with a view of the sea, all in an atmosphere faithful to the spirit of Harry’s: chic but not stuffy. Please note: no reservations, first come, first served.

What are we drinking there? A “Bloody Carpet”, a cocktail specially created for the Cannes Film Festival and a nod to the legendary Bloody Mary imagined on the counter of Harry’s Bar Paris 100 years ago. (16 €)

Right next door, still on the Pierre Canto port, it is perhaps the most chic nightclub in Cannes, but not only. Restaurant, bar and club, the Bâoli is a must in Cannes. On its rooftop, the Cloud Nine, we are happy to come and have a drink and admire the 360° view of the bay of Cannes. Can everyone come in? To push the doors of this paradise and enter this tropical-looking green setting, you will have to be both elegant and opulent, and have great tolerance for a rather self-satisfied staff, since the management “reserves the right of entry”.
