CINEDIK – The cinema releases of 07/12

The first Wednesday of this last month of the year announces a prosperous period. Like every end of the year, major films are released at this time, and this Christmas is no exception to the rule. So if you’ve already put on your decorations and put on your sweaters, you’ll surely have time to go to the theaters to see one of the films we recommend today.

The star of the week is indeed a cat, but other films, French in particular, may be able to pique your curiosity.

Puss in Boots 2: The Last Quest

The famous character from the movies Shrek returns in a second film, where this time his existence is threatened. Indeed, by dint of not paying attention, he lost 8 of his 9 lives. He sets off in search of the wishing star, a miracle of nature that could give him all his life. Under the direction of Januel P. Mercado and Joel Crawford, it is still Antonio Banderas who lends his voice to the feline.

Our brothers

According to the true story of Malik Oussekine and Abdel Benyehia, two young men killed by the police in December 1986. We follow the police investigation which seeks to clarify the mystery, in parallel with the anger and the struggle of the families of the two victims to bring out the truth. Rachid Bouchareb directs Reda Kateb, Lyna Khoudri, Samir Guesmi and Raphaël Personnaz in a drama still relevant more than thirty years later.

The lucky stars

Passed by Cannes this year, its main actor, Song Kang-Ho will leave with the prize for male interpretation of the Official Competition. Hirokazu Kore-Eda makes a film about two men who find an abandoned baby one day on a rainy night. There follows an exciting road movie through Korea where a nice bond is created between our three protagonists.

Master(s)

Big cast for Bruno Chiche’s new film: Yvan Attal, Pierre Arditi, Miou-Miou, Pascale Arbillot and Caroline Anglade. A father and son are conductors, the older one is jealous of the other’s success. When the first is called to conduct “La Scala”, a great orchestra of Milan, the son is informed that the wrong Dumas has been called, news that risks breaking up the family.

Falcon Lake

Charlotte Le Bon, multi-faceted actress has therefore decided for the first time to go behind the camera. This teen movie tells the story of a young boy and a young girl who discover each other. A story of love and ghosts as the synopsis of the film suggests. We find in particular in the casting Monia Chokri, another actress who we find on both sides of the camera.
