New Zealand director, producer and screenwriter Jane Campion is one of the major filmmakers of our time. She is the first woman (out of two) to have received the Palme d’Or at Cannes (in 1993) and the second to have been nominated in the category Best Direction at the Oscars (1994), for La Leçon de piano, also Oscar du best scenario. In January, she will be associated with the American director Kelly Reichardt, as well as with three other directors (Bette Gordon, Juliet Berto, Charlotte Silvera, with three films made in the 1980s).
