La Rochelle Cinema celebrates its 50th birthday in style

– From July 1 to 10, the Fema will present more than 200 films including 47 recent favorites from around the world. Also on the menu, tributes to Joanna Hogg, Jonás Trueba and Alain Delon

Now chaired by the producer Sylvie Pialatthe La Rochelle Cinema Festival (Fema)much appreciated for the quality and diversity of its programming, its public success (86,492 admissions in 2019) and its strictly non-competitive identity, will celebrate its 50th anniversary from July 1 to 10 with more than 200 films on display.

In the showcase of tributes stand out the mythical Alain Delon (21 films on the bill) and two rising stars (which will travel to La Rochelle) of European auteur cinema: the Englishwoman Joanna Hogg (in 5 feature films, his next opus having a very good chance of participating in the next Venetian competition) and the Spaniard Jonas Trueba (with his six feature films including come to see [+lire aussi :
