The nominations for the 27th International Press Enlightenment have been unveiled.
Foreign journalists who vote for the Enlightenment in the international press often have a very keen eye on French production. This year, the 95 voters, correspondents of the international press from 36 countries, created a first surprise by not retaining the last Palme d’Or, “Titanium” by Julia Ducournau, among the five nominated in the best film category. The director is also not among the five directors to hope to receive the trophy. Xavier Giannoli’s “Lost Illusions” got the most quotes (5), ahead of “Annette” by Leos Carax, “L’Evénement” by Audrey Diwan and “Onoda 10 000 nights in the jungle” by Arthur Harari (4).
