Other anecdotes exist around this cult film, and one of the most interesting is linked to the scene of Mia Wallace’s Overdose, who consumed the heroin hidden in Vincent Vega’s belongings. Panicked, the mobster is pressed by another character from plant a large adrenaline syringe in Mia’s chest to revive his heart and thus save his life. But since John Travolta naturally couldn’t prick Uma Thurman’s chest with a real needle, the scene was turned upside down : while on the screen, the spectator has the impression that Vincent brutally pushes the syringe into Mia’s heart, in reality, John Travolta withdraws it from his partner’s chest using a dummy needle.
