Back to event!

Before detailing the winners of the prizes awarded during this 7th edition, let’s dwell on this last day of the Festival… This Sunday revealed some nice surprises!

Zabou Breitman and the animated film

Zabou Breitman

Come to present his film The Swallows of Kabul, adaptation of the novel by Yasmina Khadra with illustrations by Elea Gobbe-Mevellec, she told us about her passion for animated films. The watercolors, portraits of the actors, allow the retransmission of each emotion, each gesture, each expression. An “artisanal” realism that brings strength and sometimes even violence to the initial text. For her, this film is a turning point in her career, she explained it during a Master Class at the Eden Cinema.

Jean Becker: 89 years of talent

Gérard Depardieu, Fanny Ardant, Benoît Poelvoorde: this is the casting that is offered Jean Becker for the film The Green Shuttersadaptation of the novel by George Simenon, a tailor-made film for a Gérard Depardieu who signs here one of his greatest roles. In full discussion with the spectators after the screening, Jean Becker confides to us that the first time that Gérard Depardieu saw the film, he remained circumspect for ten minutes, seated in his armchair, silent. It is to live these moments that this great director continues again and again to tell us stories.
