Discover The Timeless Story of Moormerland of the photography duo Elsa & Johanna in the MEP

Presented in the form of an installation consisting of a projection of 160 slides and silver prints, this project, produced in Germany in May 2021, is shown for the first time in France. For 4 weeks, Elsa & Johanna travel through the north of the country and settle temporarily in about fifteen municipalities, including that of Moormerland, in Lower Saxony. The artists carefully choose houses with old-fashioned charm that they take the time to imagine and embody around twenty characters. The result are photographs that bear witness to an imaginary neighborhood life enveloped in a strange atmosphere with a cinematographic aesthetic, characteristic of the duo.
