Is model airplane glue the latest crazy COVID cure or something? Can she really be that stupid? A sitting member? Oh good? Or is it just that her fundraising increases every time she demonstrates a basic misunderstanding about… uh… everything?
She’s the Lauren. She speaks for the trees. And the rocks. And its conservative Q-constituents. And a lot of the mold and mildew in the world, for that matter. All that is crazy, really. Lauren Boebert (R-Inanimate Matter).
So, yes, it’s a day ending with “y” in a month that ends with a cold sweat over the fragile state of our democracy in the Year of our Lord 2021, so naturally Lauren Boebert remains locked in a fight to the death with Reps Louie Gohmert, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar to see which brain can hatch its alien larvae first.
And here’s Rep. Boebert’s latest entry in this clash of modern-day titans:

365,348 children disappeared in 2020.
You haven’t heard a word from the media about it.
Therein lies the problem.

For non-tweeters:
365,348 children disappeared in 2020.
You haven’t heard a word from the media about it.
Therein lies the problem.
So, what is most glaring? Lie or gross stupidity?
Well, let’s start with the lie. The number 365,348 is extremely misleading, as it includes runaways who return home almost immediately or are quickly found. PolitiFact verified a similar claim following Gabby Petito’s disappearance and noted that the number of children still missing is much lower than the total number of children reported missing in any given year:
The counts include children who have been reported missing more than once to the police.
…
The nonprofit National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said it had assisted law enforcement, families and child protection agencies with 29,782 cases of missing children in 2020.
Of those, 27,072 were runaways, the vast majority of which are located quickly, said Rebecca Steinbach of the center. The second largest category was family abduction, with 1,396 cases.

So many problems here:
1. Trump was “president” in 2020
2. “There in lies” is not a thing
3. If you were concerned about child sex trafficking, you would tell your friend Venmo about it and tell him to stop. This is where your problem lies.

Dear Boebert:
“There were 45,000 gun-related deaths in America in 2020. 45,000 children, parents, sisters, uncles, best friends. 45,000 fully trained and sensitive human beings with memories, families, careers and dreams.– QuoteDigger (@QuoteDigging) December 12, 2021

And let’s throw that in the mix too, okay?
Lauren Boebert is very stupid, but she’s also a die-hard liar. And everything suggests that she doesn’t really believe in democracy, unless it somehow turns into permanent domination by the white minority.
Then again, stupidity, ignorance and racism are now unmistakably the hallmarks of the GOP. Well, they always have been, but now they’re good, much prouder than they’ve ever been. And this is where the problem lies.
He made the comedian Sarah silverman say: “IT’S FUCK OF BRILLIANT”, and the author invited Stephen king shout “Pulitzer Prize !!!” (On Twitter, that is). What is that?
