Blizzard apologizes for world of warcraft patch debacle

Blizzard Entertainment has issued a formal apology to its World of Warcraft community, acknowledging that the recent 12.0.5 patch fell short of the company's standards.

Patch 12.0.5 issues surface

The update, which introduced a new hide-and-seek mode, fishing, and additional player-versus-environment (PvE) opportunities to level up gear, was met with nearly universal dismay across the community. Players reported a litany of problems, including a map that still revealed the locations of seekers, the failure to disable the Track Humanoids ability, frequent crashing, and poorly designed changes to the Unholy class.
