Nintendo's switch 2 price hike imminent amid global chip shortage

Ahead of the PlayStation 5 Pro's eye-watering €899 price tag, Nintendo's Switch 2 is poised to follow suit as the global chip shortage intensifies. The console's former sales chief, Sean, has ominously predicted that the hardware price will inevitably climb, citing the ongoing semiconductor crisis and persistent inflation.

Sony has already taken three price hikes for its PlayStation line, while Microsoft has raised prices twice for Xbox. Nintendo, however, has maintained Switch prices thus far, but Sean's warning suggests that may change soon.
